The band was originally formed in 1993 some six months before the advent of the Commitments and the stream of tribute bands that followed. This is why the Mojos have a sound all of their own with covers of the hottest soul classics ever written including numbers by soul greats like James Brown, Wilson Pickett, Sam and Dave, and the legendary Otis Redding. The modern soul influences are represented by Joe Cocker, Curtis Stigers, and of course no soul show is complete without a tribute to the Blues Brothers. The Mojo's have built up a formidable reputation for outstanding high energy live performances - with over 200 gigs a year all over the UK and Europe.
